Are you bored with my weight loss issue already?
Coz I am not done yet muahahhaha.
An update. Till today The highest weight loss amount I managed to achieve was 10 kg.
But I am still fat.
I guess this is the part and parcel of losing weight because ever since I started my weight loss journey I never felt slim.
The ironic part was before I started I never felt that I was fat XD
It seems like my weight was having fun going up and down playing see saw with my eyes.
And the most annoying part is even with the massive dietary change my cholesterol level is still high. It hardly went down.
I stopped with my food diary for quite sometime now, I am glad to say I managed to keep my weight in line without it.
And also I tried a few crash diet and found that liquid diet was the most useless of all.
FYI: Liquid diet means only taking liquid food. How sick. I tried for 3 days, my cravings gave in & my weight gained after 2 normal meals.
Others I have tried Banana diet, raw food diet, atkins & small portion food diet; not much difference made.
And now I need new inspiration!

Weight Loss Plateau
3 weeks ago, I've managed to lose 7 kgs. Unfortunately, the number just stuck there for 2 weeks and wouldn't bulge.
I got really frustrated because I was controlling my diet well within the range of calories that I allow myself to consume. However, the number just wouldn't reduce.
Then, things got a little out of control. I started to eat those sinful food I had refrained myself from. Luckily, I did not gain much weight from my binge eating.
So I started to incorporate some exercise regime & also zig zagging my daily calories intake.
IT HELPS!!
Now the most I managed to lose was 8 kgs so far. Still fighting!
I'm back to limiting calories diet until the next plateau!
Don't give up so soon!!

Diet & Calories Part 2
Tip 1: It was a very simple method.
(Your Weight) X 30 = Required Daily Calories to Maintain Your Current Weight.
Eg: If your weight is 60 kgs your required daily calories to maintain your current weight is 1800.
In order to lose weight you need to subtract 550 calories from your daily diet. So your daily intake should be 1250 calories.
For the past 3 weeks I am practicing this method by frantically counting calories for everything I eat. Personally this has helped me alot in realising what I've been putting in my body unconsciously.
Tip 2:It is extremely helpful to keep a food diary of what you eat everyday. With that I've become very cautious in choosing my 3 meals.
Its ok if you go overboard with your calories once a while, do not give up straightaway. Instead adjust your subsequent daily intake to a lower value to make up for the extra calories you have consumed. In a way, this helps to warn yourself to not overeat again in the coming future.
Tip 3: Always read the nutritional value of whatever packaged food you plan to buy from the market. My secret is if you don't know the calories, don't buy it.
Having an android phone is a big help to dieting. Whenever in doubt, google the calories of the food that you are eating.
Tip 4: Order something healthier that you might not like in a restaurant when eating out. For example, instead of your favourite nasi lemak that contains 550 calories per pack, instead order mihun soup that carries only 450 calories.
Tip5: Drink water when you feel hungry. The brain perceives the signal for thirst and hunger as the same so you can avoid packing in extra calories when you are actually not hungry. If you're still hungry 5 minutes after drinking a huge glass of water, have fruits or nuts to curb your hunger.
Tip 6: When eating out, order plain water or chinese tea or green tea (UNSWEETENED) and you will save 200 - 300 calories per meal. No kidding. Say bye bye to your milo ping, teh c ping or nescafe ping.
3 weeks from the start of my journey I've lost 4kgs the most =). However I went on a trip abroad recently and it got a bit out of control as you don't get to prepare your own meal. I came back gaining 1.5 kgs T.T
But STILL!!!! I still lost 2.5kgs!!! I was so scared I'm going to revert back to where I came from. I am going to start a stricter diet for 3 days to compensate back what I've ate in that trip.
Oh yeah, don't get dicouraged when you lost weight in small numbers. Its healthier to lose 0.5 - 1 kg per week & also remember, the slower it takes, the longer it will stay off!
That's all for now. To those who are fighting out there let's do this together!
